Terms of service.
• ALL WASHES ARE SUBMITTED FOR WASHING AT THE CUSTOMERS OWN RISK.
• Domestic general laundry will be washed at 40* Celsius unless otherwise requested by the customer. Bed linen is washed at 60* unless otherwise requested by the customer.
• Care label instructions are adhered to, unless alternative customer instructions have been given in which case a signed disclaimer note is required to be included.
• Items of a delicate nature are washed in accordance with the care labels unless handed in as a Service Wash of mixed items, in which case the wash will be at 40* or 60* Therefore, if you have delicate items, please bag these separately and inform the staff that the items require special care.
• The Laundry Lady is not responsible for any items left in pockets, whether the item is damaged or causes damage to the laundry. The customer is responsible for making sure there are no hazards in the laundry particularly PENS, CHEWING GUM and LIGHTERS.
• All washes will be washed as one load unless stipulated by the customer, in which case the minimum charge will apply to each load. Separation must be undertaken by the customer and separate loads bagged in separate bags.
• If the customer does not want an item to be tumble dried, they must say so at the time of handing in laundry.
• Duvets and Pillows packed in transit packaging* should be unpacked by the customer as soon as possible. The Laundry Lady is not responsible for items left in plastic, if they become fusty. *Where possible we will supply re-usable, breathable storage bags for filled items for a small charge per bag, unless you supply your own. Plastic will only be used when necessary either due to the size of the item or availability of re-usable bags.
• Pet beds and pet bedding must be vacuumed prior to being handed into the laundry with as much hair and debris removed as possible.
• Business Customers please note: all linen used for commercial business purposes with multi person use, must be washed at 60 Celsius irrespective of Covid 19. This is for infection control measures and applies to both bed and bath linen regardless of whether the linen is white or coloured. Linen should be bagged separately into whites and colours.
• Payment is required prior to, or at the point of collection from reception. Delivery customers are required to pay prior to delivery; invoices are due on receipt as we cannot extend any credit facilities. Unpaid invoices will result in the delivery of the linen being delayed.
• Where a pickup is booked and there is either no access available or no linen left out to be collected, a “missed pickup” charge will be payable this will be the minimum spend for your area. If a delivery cannot be made due to no available access to the safe space for linen exchange, linen will be returned to the laundry, and clients will have to collect or pay for re-delivery.
